Wellstar North Fulton is a Level II Emergency Cardiac Care Center, Level II Trauma Center and Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center providing 25/7 Neuro and stroke care and intervention. We believe in a team-centered approach in everything we do and with every patient that we serve.

Responsibilities

Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) 

The Stepdown or IMCU RN  ANM position at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital is an excellent opportunity to work with a great interdisciplinary team, to challenge oneself in the specialty of critical care nursing, and to work with an exceptional group of Neurointensivists, Neurosurgeons, and Neurointerventionalists.  The Neuroscience Critical Care unit is part of the growing Neuroscience Program at Wellstar that provides multi-state coverage in our journey to becoming the next Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from accredited nursing school Required and
  • Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred and
  • If bachelor degree is not in nursing, MSN must be from accredited nursing school. Required


Required Minimum Experience

  • minimum 3 years of clinical experience Required


Required Minimum Skills

  • Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building;
  • desires to see progressive nursing management roles and enjoys/seeks opportunities to coach and mentor others.
  • Seeks to learn and demonstrate progressive skills in the business of managing a patient care unit or service by obtaining the commitment and productivity of nursing staff.
  • Must be a continuous learner who seeks to better understands health care financing;
  • strategy and operations for running a business unit(s); and effectively employ data and technology to support work processes and make decisions. Supports shared governance or shared decision making;
  • manage the design and delivery of care that in based on evidence and focused on quality and safety.
  • Demonstrates interest and aptitude to achieve knowledge of risk management and various accreditation/regulations/licensing requirements.

Additional Licenses and Certifications
